As a jewelry designer, I am always on the lookout for unique and interesting beads. I am very glad I came across AnneLondezGlass on Etsy. Whether you’re looking for glass beads, sculpture, paperweights, or even a tutorial on how to make your own glass works, Anne has it. And boy are they pretty.
Black Splash Glass Lampwork Sculpture
This is so beautiful as a sculpture you almost miss the fact that it is a bead! Just imagine using this gorgeous piece as the focal point of a wirewrap ring or a stunning talking point on a necklace. Stunning. Head on over to her shop and pick up your piece of Swiss perfection.
Ok, so several people in my life have tried to teach me to crochet. I can crochet a single line until the end of days, but cannot for the life of me make the turn and come back down the line. This is probably due to my being left handed and every teacher I had trying to teach me right handed. Those of you lefty’s out there know what I mean. It is very difficult for a right handed person to translate the steps in a way that a lefty can use and just as difficult for a lefty to visually make the changes themselves. So, after years of on and off trying to get it, I have given up and left the knitting and crocheting to the experts, like Katie Brown, the owner of today’s Etsy shop review.
Katie specializes in “Amigurumi (a-me-goo-roo-me): The Japanese art of knitting or crocheting small stuffed animals and anthropomorphic creatures.” A quick trip around her shop will show you stuffed Santas, ninjas, owls, cats, bunnies, and even a skeleton or two. These things are so cute its funny.
In true Japanese style, Anamorphicecho even sells hand knitted sushi! Check out this full tray of sushi and nigiri all handmade from knitted yarn.

Today’s Etsy review is an interesting shop called Alterdelenda. Katrina claims she loves everything “upcycled, recycled, and trashion” and her shop shows it. The unusual scarves/necklaces she makes are unique and very cool.
Check out this red and green “chunky fabric necklace”:
Red and green chunky fabric necklace/ holiday scarf
Reusing fabric to make this necklace is a wonderful idea and is perfect for any fashion forward man or woman. She states you can “Twist it. Knot it. Loop it.” to create any style you can think of.
In addition to the eco-friendly scarves/necklaces, she also has upcycled vintage jewelry. For those of you who aren’t familiar with the term “upcycle” yet, it means to take something that would otherwise be bound for the landfill and create something wonderful from it. Katrina does this by taking apart vintage jewelry and reworking it into some pretty cool pieces.
Head on over to Etsy and check out Alterdelenda. And be sure to come back tomorrow for more reviews.
Since joining Etsy as a shop owner, I have been introduced to some wonderful people, my fellow shop owners. The Etsy community is all about helping other small business owners, so I will be featuring a new shop everyday. You will get to see the amazing work these truly talented individuals have for sale and maybe you will find that “just can’t live without it” item you have been waiting for. Please enjoy.
Charming and unique, Dr Seus bookmarks from 42things @ Esty
When you first visit Jo’s shop, 42things, you instantly get a whimiscal feeling from the leaf, snowflake and acorn die cuts she has. These die cut designs are perfect for any scrapbooker or crafter looking to create some fall/winter designs. But Jo doesn’t stop there. If you look to the left navigation of her shop, you will quickly see that she has many finished items for sale, including, bookmarks, stickers, envelopes, even jewelry.
My favorite items have to be the Dr Seuss bookmarks. All of Jo’s items are made from recycled materials and these are made from old Dr Seuss books. If Seuss isn’t your thing, she also has Winnie the Pooh, Sheet Music, and even bookmarks made from old maps.
With all of the quality paper goods Jo has in her shop, I am sure you will find something you love. Head on over and check it out.
See you guys tomorrow with our next new shop.
